Disney Vacation Club is one step closer to selling ownership in its twelfth timeshare property.
Disney's timeshare sales arm--Disney Vacation Development--has filed documents with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation to begin selling ownership in its Grand Floridian villa project. Documentation is currently "under review", with the most recent status update posted on January 10, 2013.
Approval from the local agency is just one of many steps required before developers can begin selling ownership in new facilities. Timeline for licensing approval is unknown.
Note that this application represents the first written confirmation of the resort's legal name: Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.
In December 2012 Disney Vacation Club Vice President Claire Bilby stated that the Grand Floridian villa expansion remains on schedule for an opening in the fall of 2013.
