Renovations to the pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas means a reopening will not occur until late 2023.
Earlier this summer it was announced that the Dunes Cove Pool would close for refurbishment at the start of October and reopen in mid December. The project was delayed by 4 weeks and it is now set to close beginning today, Monday October 30. As a result, the reopening will not occur until sometime in late December.
During the refurbishment, guests may see and hear crews working during daytime hours. Other resort pools including Stormalong Bay will be available during the closure.
Disney is in the final stages of refurbishing Disney Vacation Club villa interiors at the Beach Club. At this point, it appears that all rooms have either reopened following their refurbishment or are being completed now. Going forward, all guests staying at the Beach Club Villas should receive a renovated room which includes the popular pull-down convertible sofa beds.
Stormalong Bay will close a little over a year from now for an extensive refurbishment. The project is set to run from January to May 2025.
