As we ring in 2015, let's take a look back at the Disney Vacation Club news that made headlines during the previous calendar year.

Even the most avid Disney theme park fans are always looking for something new and different during their stays.  As much fun as Soarin' may be, by the 50th (or 150th) ride, the thrill isn't quite the same as it once was. 

One of the unsung diversions during a Disney Vacation Club stay is a visit to the resort Community Hall.  

Trips to Disney Parks are times for a family to spend time together, sharing many fun and entertaining events.  But sometimes, even in the middle of a family trip, there are times when kids and their parents may want a few hours to themselves.  That is when Disney's children activity centers become handy.

Most fans seem to appreciate the special touches or "theming" that designers add to Disney hotels and Vacation Club resorts.  At the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, guests will find a different piece of character artwork adorning the lobby vestibule on each floor.  Here is a look at the not-so-subtle theming on display at the resort.

A few weeks ago I found myself in the Chicago area and made a point to stop by Disney Vacation Club's Doorway to Dreams sales center in Schaumburg.
