Lunar New Year celebrations are visible throughout Disneyland Resort with Disney's Grand Californian Hotel getting into the spirit.
February 10, 2024 marks the start of The Year of the Dragon and Disneyland is helping guests celebrate in a big way. Similar to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, Disney California Adventure is decked-out with a variety of unique food booths and events. But the celebration extends to other corners of the theme parks and resorts, including the lobby of the Grand Californian.
A large dragon, resembling Mushu from the animated feature 'Mulan", dominates the resort lobby.
A series of dolls are on display, featuring traditional attire from China, Korea and Vietnam.
Mulan herself makes periodic appearances in the resort lobby, posing for photos with guests and telling stories of the Lunar New Year celebration. A daily appearance schedule is posted in the lobby.
A pop-up retail shop has also been added to the lobby, featuring items decorated for the Lunar New Year.
The resort-wide celebration runs from January 23 to February 18, 2024.
