Back in February we reported that the Disney Vacation Club had plans to open its model units for the Graand Californian Villas before the beginning of the summer season. Not only is Disney going to meet that deadline, but it appears DVC members will be among the first to see the Vacation Club designs for "The Happiest Place on Earth."
DVCNews has learned that the model rooms for the Grand Californian Villas at the Disneyland sales center will open just in time for Memorial Day weekend. On May 23rd - 26th, DVC will host special preview sessions exclusively for existing members. Invitations are being prepared now and will soon be sent to members living in the Southern California area.
The rooms should be open to the public immediately following.
No word yet on when sales will begin for the first Disney Vacation Club property located on the west coast.
Reminder that DVC intends to offer an exclusive pre-purchase window for current members who initially purchased their points from a salesperson located at the Disneyland sales center. This option is being written into all current contracts sold out of the west coast sales office, and the benefit will be extended to all who purchased from that location since the sales center's inception. It is believed that those who qualify for this offer will have a two-week window in which to purchase points before sales open to all DVC members and eventually to the general public.
