One year ago today, Disney Vacation Club's second Disneyland-based property made its debut.
On September 28, 2023, Disneyland guests were finally treated to a second DVC destination. The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will bring more than 340 new timeshare rooms to the west coast.
For more than 14 years, its predecessor, The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel, was the sole DVC resort at Disneyland. With just 48 units, Grand Californian was quickly sold-out and has remained the single hottest purchase in the entire system.
The Disneyland Hotel expansion brought a new pool with kids splash pad, an open-air restaurant and bar, fitness center and other amenities to the iconic resort.
About 16 months after sales began, the resort is estimated to have sold about 1/4 of its DVC points. The Villas at Disneyland Hotel is heavily weighted with Deluxe Studio and two person Duo Studio rooms. However there are also a selection of One Bedroom, Two Bedroom and Three Bedroom Grand Villas.
