Refurbishment of Disney Vacation Club villa interiors and other public spaces at the resort is set to begin next month.
Disney has published details on a refurbishment timeline for Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, revealing that the project will begin in earnest starting in July 2023:
Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will undergo refurbishment beginning in July 2023, with updates coming to areas across the Resort. While most Resort amenities will remain available, you will see and hear refurbishment work during daytime hours. Please allow for additional travel time.
No end date has been announced.
This project is expected to be a full hard goods renovation of the 27-year old DVC property. This type of refurbishment is typically a tear-down-to-the-studs update with improvements to villa kitchens and bathrooms, along with new flooring, wall coverings, furniture and fixtures. Earlier this year, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge was subjected to a similar wholesale renovation. Rooms at Disney's Beach Club Villas are slated for a lighter refresh with a portion of its rooms updated earlier this year and the remainder expected to be updated later this fall.
