Beginning August 4, 2024, Wailana Pool at Aulani will return to its status as an adults-only resort amenity. When the resort originally debuted back in 2011, Wailana was available only to guests 18 and over. However in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, this restriction was lifted and the pool opened up to guests of all ages.
Early next month, the Disney resort will reverse course and return the pool to its original status.
Adults-only pools are a bit of an oddity for Disney. No other Disney or Disney Vacation Club resort in the U.S. enforces an adults-only limit on resort pools. However, Disney Cruise Line ships have long maintained separate areas for adults and families.
Cabanas surrounding the 1,500 square foot pool will also be available only to guests over 18. Two hot tubs at 'Alohi Point are also reserved exclusively for adult guests.
The resort also features numerous swimming venues suitable for younger guests and families including Waikolohe Pool, Waikolohe Stream, Ka Maka Grotto and Keiki Cove.
