Aulani Begins Phased Reopening November 1

Aulani

One of the two shuttered Disney Vacation Club destinations will open for business on November 1, 2020.

Aulani

Senior Vice President of DVC Terri Schultz has confirmed that Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas will begin a phased reopening effective November 1. This move will leave the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa as the only DVC resort still closed due to the impact of COVID-19.

DVC warns that all arriving guests are subject to state and local restrictions. Guidelines going into effect on October 15 require those visiting Hawaii to either have a negative COVID test within 72 hours prior to arrival or to quarantine for 14 days. These rules are subject to change at any time.

Guests should expect modifications to food, beverage and recreation programs at Aulani. Disney has not offered any specifics regarding these operational changes.

The full reopening statement can be found below:

Aloha, Disney Vacation Club Members!

Nothing makes our team at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, happier than sharing the spirit of the islands – and a special touch of Disney magic – with our Disney Vacation Club ‘ohana.

Today I’m pleased to share that we will welcome families back to our family vacation paradise in Ko Olina, Hawai‘i, as we work toward a phased reopening beginning November 1. Today’s announcement means that all Disney Vacation Club resorts, except for The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, are now either open or scheduled to reopen soon.

Just as we’re doing at Disney vacation destinations around the world, we are working on responsibly and thoughtfully implementing new health and safety measures at Aulani Resort. Our gradual, phased approach to reopening considers the guidance of government and local health authorities, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the U.S. Travel Association and Disney’s team of health and safety professionals. This deliberate approach allows us to evaluate and adjust along the way, as circumstances and the recommendations of health authorities evolve. Please visit www.aulani.com for additional details.

We also recommend that you review the travel and quarantine requirements for the state of Hawai‘i from the Hawaii Tourism Authority as well as your local travel guidelines. State guidelines and requirements may change, so please make sure to stay updated with the latest information leading up to your departure for your trip to Aulani.

We encourage you to use the Disney Vacation Club website for general information or the Member Online Booking Tool to book or modify a Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation. Details about reopening plans and temporary adjustments to Disney Vacation Club policies are available on the Disney Vacation Club website.

Thank you for your patience, kindness and understanding during our time apart. We look forward to welcoming you back “home” to Aulani and our other Disney Vacation Club properties very soon.

Mahalo to you and yours! Can’t wait to see you again.

Terri A. Schultz
Senior Vice President
Disney Vacation Club, Guided Adventures & Expeditions and Golden Oak
