The last operating Disney Vacation Club resort will temporarily shut down effective 5:00pm Tuesday.
Disney has announced that Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa will close to guests effective 5pm on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
The closure is currently slated to run through March 31. DVC members with reservations during this period are asked not to contact Member Services or cancel online. The reservations will be automatically cancelled and points returned to the current Use Year without being placed in Holding.
Disney has waived cancellation fees for non-member cash reservations through March 31, and for those who reschedule their arrival for a date through June 30, 2020.
Disney had hoped to keep the resort operating, closing most dining and activity venues in order to meet recent social distancing guidelines. Today's statement claims the closure is done to comply with state guidance.
