Aulani on-site tours have begun

Aulani

Disney Vacation Club member and Aulani resort owner Troy Witt recently returned from Hawai'i and is happy to report that Disney has begun offering tours of the still-under-construction facilities to prospective buyers.  Read-on for Troy's first-hand account.

"I just got back from a business trip to Oahu and visited Aulani where I'm an owner. I asked to tour a model and -- guess what -- they are now touring an actual pool view 3rd floor room! They had a strict no photos policy, so I can't share images, but things are coming along magically there. The lazy river was filled with water and flowing. The plants are going in fast and furious. The kids water play area was running (and looks about 4x larger than the drawing). The jacuzzi jets were going. The fit and finish of the rooms is amazing and really has to be seen in person to be appreciated. Texture abounds and Mickey is even hidden in the hallway wallpaper!

"For anyone who does the tour, DVC is providing pants, socks and boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and a safety vest. They know that most people aren't arriving expecting to enter a working construction site! But DVC has done their job and even the construction workers were part of the magic: they held doors open, stopped what they were doing to wave, and not a radio could be heard on the site.... Truly odd for someone used to surly construction sites!

"Don't expect to get a glimpse of the lobby though, the tour enters via the parking structure and goes across the convention center patio to enter the suite.

"Overall, it's breathtaking to stand on the balcony and take in the awesomeness of Aulani."
