Disney has announced that the Year of a Million Dreams is coming back for an encore, and DVC will be along for the ride. Among the prizes listed for the second year of this marketing program are two memberships in the Disney Vacation Club.
Previously we reported that the base price of DVC points will increase from $101 to $104 effective March 5, 2007. Turns out that’s not the only change occurring on that date. The minimum point purchase threshold for new members is being raised from 150 to 160 points.
Walt Disney World offers Value, Moderate, Deluxe and now Deluxe Villa resorts. What were once branded “Home Away From Home Resorts” and more recently “Disney Vacation Club Resorts” will go by a new name in the Disney lexicon.
Disney has posted the Rack Rates for most DVC accommodations at www.waltdisneyworld.com.
As previously reported, DVC’s new Doorway to Dreams sales center at the Woodfield Mall (Chicago area) is holding a sneak preview on August 1st to 3rd. New information released this week indicates that those wishing to attend the preview MUST RSVP in advance. Space is limited and reservations are required.
