Disney Vacation Club has published the 2014 values for members wishing to use points for non-DVC destinations in The Disney Collection.
The Disney Collection is a group of Disney-branded resorts which are not part of the Disney Vacation Club timeshare program. Each year, DVC must negotiate trade-in values for its members wishing to use points for these destinations.
Included are hotels at Disneyland Resort in California, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland. Also available are a number of destinations at Walt Disney World including Disney's Yacht Club, Disney's Polynesian Resort and all Moderate-class properties.
Interestingly Disney's Grand Floridian Resort remains available for booking in 2014 despite the planned opening of 100 DVC villas at that property in October 2013.
Point values for Disney Collection destinations tend to be much higher than the cost of a comparable DVC villa room. For instance, the lowest-cost Grand Floridian hotel room in 2014 begins at 56 points per night. Meanwhile a Standard View Deluxe Studio at the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort costs as little as 17 points per night.
A $95 reservation fee applies to most bookings in The Disney Collection.
Reminder that resale points purchased after March 20, 2011 are not eligible for reservations through The Disney Collection.
