Among all of the rumored procedural changes discussed in recent weeks, one was overlooked. DVC currently has what it calls a “60-Day Rule” which applies to booking most destinations outside of the eight Disney Vacation Club resorts.
Under this rule, members cannot book a stay and travel within the last 60 days of their Use Year. Members can travel within that timeframe, but reservations must be made more than 60 days before the end of the Use Year. In other words, under the current rule, a member with a June Use Year would have to secure their reservation no later than April 1, which is 60 days before the end of their year.
Under the new rule, non-DVC bookings must be made 120 days before the end of the Use Year.
This rule applies to all reservations in the Disney Collection, Concierge Collection and Adventurer Collection.
