The members-only lounge located in Disneyland's Tomorrowland is set to close for several months.
Disney Vacation Club has revealed that Star View Station – A Member Lounge will be closed for maintenance work beginning July 27, 2026. The reopening timeframe is rather vague, with Disney only saying that operations will resume in "fall 2026." This suugests a closure of at least 2 months, perhaps longer than 4 months.
During the closure of Star View Station, a temporary DVC member lounge is being created in Starcade near the exit of Space Mountain. The Starcade lounge will offer similar amenities including air conditionined seating, charging stations and complimentary snacks & soft drinks. It will be open to members from 11:00am to 6:00pm daily. Disney Vacaiton Club members must qualify for Membership Magic in order to visit Starcade, Star View Station or any of the other members-only lounges located at Walt Disney World.
There is no word on the nature of the Star View Station closure. The lounge is just over three years old, having opened in April 2023. In addition to the typical lounge amenities, the space also includes a full size model room for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
Star View Station is located in the little-used Star Wars Launch Bay building. The space has gone through a series of uses over the years, formerly housing Carousel of Progress and America Sings. Today the building's use is mostly limited to the DVC lounge and as a photo spot for Chase Disney Visa cardholders.
Back in June 2024, the member lounge at EPCOT closed for what was expected to be a 6-week refurbishment. The closure stretched to nearly 5 months, reportedly due to mechanical issues with the elevator. The EPCOT lounge reopened as Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium - a Member Lounge with a new look and color scheme. Wholesale changes to Star View Station would be surprising barely 3 years after its debut.
