The Magic Kingdom's new Disney Vacation Club lounge is open. Here is some coverage of opening day from around the 'net.
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, McKim's Mile House made its official debut. First confirmed in June 2024, the lounge opened several months ahead of its projected summer 2025 launch.
Website WDWMagic.com shared some photos of the lengthy queue that formed on Tuesday morning as word of the opening spread. Disney Vacation Club published a preview video to several of its social media accounts, showcasing some of the thematic touches including nods to Imagineering Legends Tony Baxter and Marc Davis. The lounge itself is named for former Imagineer Sam McKim.
The lounge features the usual assortment of perks for DVC owners including comfortable seating, free snacks and beverages and charging stations. But most of all it's just a place to get away from the Florida heat for a few minutes.
The lounge is available to qualifying owners and their guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Owners must qualify for Membership Extras in order to visit. Additionally, those who subscribe to DVC's Membership Magic Beyond program will receive preferred entry during times when there is a waiting list to enter the lounge.
McKim's Mile House is scheduled to be open 11am to 6pm on most days. Other DVC lounges are available at EPCOT's Imagiation Pavilion and Disneyland's Tomorrowland.
