Disney Vacation Club owners will soon have early booking rights for the first sailings aboard the Disney Destiny, along with access to an exclusive "First Wave" sailing.
Disney Cruise Line's seventh ship, the Disney Destiny, is set to launch in November 2025. DVC owners will have early booking privileges for the inaugural list of dates. Booking opens on September 6, 2024 with Castaway Club Pearl members. Access expands over the coming days with DVC owners eligible to make reservations beginning on September 11:
- September 6: Pearl Castaway Club members
- September 9: Platinum Castaway Club members
- September 10: Gold Castaway Club members
- September 11: Disney Vacation Club, Silver Castaway Club members, Adventure Insiders
- September 12: General public
Additionally, DVC owners will be eligible to book an exclusive "first wave" sailing on the new ship. Similar opportunities have been provided with the recent launches of the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, with DVC owners able to book just the second sailing of each new ship. The first wave sailings are exclusive to DVC owners and eligible guests, however they do not feature the wide range of special guests and gifts as a "Member Cruise." Full payment is typically due at the time of booking and at least one member must be paid for using DVC points.
Complete details regarding this DVC exclusive will be provided at a later date.
The Disney Destiny will sail out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. The ship will run 4- and 5-day voyages to the Bahamas and Caribbean, with stops at one or both of Disney's private islands of Castaway Cay and Lighthouse Point.
The ship features a heroes and villains theme, including the heaviest Marvel Studios presence of any Disney cruise ship. Black Panther will be the featured character in the ship's lobby atrium while Spider-Man adorns the stern. A Doctor Strange-themed bar called The Sanctum is also planned.
Restaurants include Worlds of Marvel which is present on all three of the Triton-class vessels. This location will showcase 'Guardians of the Galaxy's' Rocket and Groot entertaining diners. The ship also features the elegant restaurant 1923 and Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King with an exclusive dinner theater presentation of the Disney film favorite.
Other features include bars themed to '101 Dalmatians' Cruella DeVil, along with the Disney theme parks' Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. Stage shows include 'Disney Seas the Adventure' and 'Frozen, a Musical Spectacular.' A third show remains unrevealed. The ship will also include the popular Aquamouse water coaster with exclusive video content, themed play areas for kids, adult dining, and much more.
