The popular lounge has operated on a year-by-year basis since it 2016 introduction which coincided with the 25th anniversary of Disney Vacation Club. Information posted to the members-only website has thus far only stated that the lounge would be available through 2020. While the lounge continues to operate today, this is our first indication that it will remain available for the full calendar year.
The lounge reopened with the park in July 2020. COVID-19 protocols include added physical distancing, sanitation and Cast Member assistance with the complimentary beverages.
McDonald also shared details regarding a "Scenic Selfie" scavenger hunt set to launch on February 16. Using their smartphones, DVC members are asked to take selfies in locations described by a series of trivia questions. A series of four collectible buttons will be awarded as prizes for those who complete the quests.
