After more than three decades with The Walt Disney Company, Ken Potrock has announced via his LinkedIn page that he plans to retire.

"Well, the news is out. After nearly 32 incredible years, I've decided to retire from The Walt Disney Company. But not quite yet… first, we have the biggest Super Bowl ever to help deliver in Los Angeles.     My time at Disney started in 1995 with what felt like a crazy idea: help Disney launch a cruise line, in an industry it had never been in. A lot of people thought we were nuts. We figured it out anyway."

Ken Potrock assumed the role of senior vice president and general manager of Disney Vacation Club back in January 2013. He replaced Claire Bilby who lead the division for about 18 months following the ouster of Jim Lewis. Potrock lead DVC for more than 5 years before leaving in mid 2018.

Under Potrock's leadership, DVC launched several high profile resorts including two of the most sought-after properties at Walt Disney World--The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows--as well as DVC's first addition to an existing property:  Copper Creek Villas & Cabins. In 2016, the timeshare program celebrated its 25th anniversary with a series of high profile additions including the first member-exclusive lounge located in EPCOT's Imagination Pavilion and complimentary late-night park events which would later be dubbed Moonlight Magic

From DVC, Potrock briefly moved into a role overseeing Disney Consumer Products. In May 2020 he was elevated to President of Disneyland Resort, a post he held until March 2025. There he played a role in development of DVC's second west coast property The Villas at Disneyland Hotel

He currently serves as Disney's President of Major Events Integration, managing Disney's involvement with major events like the FIFA World Cup and Super Bowl LXI.
