Joe Schott Named President of Disney Signature Services, Overseeing Disney Vacation Club

A management shuffle results in a new head of the Disney Vacation Club business unit and a new role for a former DVC executive.

Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced a variety of role changes for current Disney executives. Joe Schott has been named the new President of Disney Signature Services. This unit of The Walt Disney Company encompasses Disney Vacation Club, as well as Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and Storyliving by Disney. Schott previously served as President and General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort

Underneath Schott is Stephanie YoungPresident, Disney Vacation Club & Aulani, Adventures & Expeditions, and Disney Institute/National Geographic Live. Young has held that position since 2022. Bill Diercksen continues to serve as Disney Vacation Club Senior Vice President and General Manager



Schott replaces Thomas Mazloum who was named the new President of Disneyland Resort. Mazloum will oversee the two theme parks, three resort hotels and other assets as the property enters the early stages of its Disneyland Forward expansion project. 

Former Disney Vacation Club VP Ken Potrock, who most recently served as Disneyland President, is moving to the newly created position of President of Major Events Integration. Potrock will be responsible for developing company-wide strategies for large-scale sports and entertainment events like the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and the 250th Anniversary of the United States. 

Potrock lead Disney Vacation Club from 2013 to 2018, overseeing the additions of The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, as well as the 2016 fanfare surrounding Disney Vacation Club's 25th anniversary.
