Some of the supporting documents for each of the Disney Vacation Club resorts were updated late last year to reflect recent administrative changes.
Disney's Riviera Resort
Each of the DVC properties are governed by a series of legal documents. Among them are a Multi-Site Public Offering Statement and a resort-specific POS. These master documents are updated rather infrequently. However, DVC also issues addendums or "Inserts" which summarize all of the changes which occur inbetween revisions to the master.
The Public Offering Statement Inserts for each of the sixteen resorts were revised back in December 2023. The revisions are largely mundane in nature. They reflect the opening of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel in September 2023, as well as the anticipated opening of The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness in summer 2024. Each also includes a copy of the 2024 budget for the resort, identical to those distributed separately to owners last November.
The one noteworthy aspect of this filing is that the Ft Wilderness Cabins are officially listed as "The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Use Plan." The term "use plan" is different from other Disney Vacation Club destinations, all of which are referred to as Leasehold Condominiums.
The new language further supports the idea that the Cabins will be part of some new timeshare Trust product which differs from the DVC program we are currently familiar with. The extent to which the Cabins are functionally different is not yet clear.
Copies of the Public Offering Statements, Inserts and other DVC documents are linked on our information pages for each individual resort. To access, select "WDW Resorts" or "Other Resorts" from the top menu above, select a specific property and then "Resort Information."
