It does not appear that direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points received a boost from the Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary celebration held on October 1, 2021.
Disney's Riviera Resort
For the third month in a row, direct sales of DVC points for the 11 resorts at Walt Disney World failed to reach the 100,000-point mark. In November 2021, 97,087 DVC points were sold, the fewest number of points sold since 87,124 points were sold in January 2021. For the year, direct sales are averaging 118,183 points a month.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas was second to Disney’s Riviera Resort in sales for the second month in a row. The 7,179 points sold for it was slightly more than the 6,481 points sold for Disney’s Old Key West Resort.
For the third month in a row no points were sold for the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Disney has not yet announced when sales will begin for the second phase of resort studio villas at Grand Floridian, which is expected to open in Summer 2022.
Disney’s Riviera Resort — In November 2021, 64,589 points were sold for Riviera. For the year, Riviera is averaging 69,092 points in monthly sales. To date, Disney has sold 2,469,814, or 36.6%, of the resort's 6.7 million points.
Disney has declared 167 of the Riviera’s 341 vacation homes. In terms of points, the declared inventory accounts for about 3,327,263 points, or 49.4% of the resort’s total points.
A Fixed Week deed for a preferred view studio was sold in November. Disney has sold 87 Fixed Week deeds for Riviera.
The sales data includes all 11 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.
