Disney Vacation Club buyers can save $500 off their first purchase at select resorts with a referral from an existing member.

DVC's "Dream it Forward" program has not generated much buzz in recent years. That may change with the launch of a new referral incentive program. First time buyers are currently eligible for a $500 discount on the purchase of 150 or more points at select resorts if referred by an existing DVC member. This incentive can be combined with promotions launched back in September, which currently offer a $5 per-point discount for 150 points Disney's Riviera Resort and $10 off at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.
A purchase of 150 points at Riviera would yield total savings of $1250 ($5 x 150 points plus the $500 bonus) while the same Aulani purchase would be discounted by $2000 ($10 x 150 plus $500. bonus).
This offer is open only to first-time buyers living in the 50 US states. In order to be eligible for the referral bonus, buyers must not have previously had formal contact with a Disney Vacation Club sales representative. The referral is only valid for 365 days, and the $500 bonus incentive is subject to end at any time. Additional terms and conditions apply.
Current Disney Vacation Club members may also benefit by referring their friends and family.
Members living in a qualifying state are eligible to receive a "Disney experience" valued at $50 or more in exchange for a successful referral. Members may refer up to 12 prospective buyers each year and receieve one reward annually upon completion of a purchase. Few details are available regarding the nature of the reward, other than it being a "non-monetary item or service, such as dining or entertainment."
Members must reside in one of the following US states in order to be eligible for a "Disney experience" reward following the purchase by a referred buyer: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawai`i, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
