Prices Rise Again for "Sold Out" Resorts

Financial News & Pricing

Would you pay $245 per point for 21 years of ownership in a Disney Vacation Club resort?

Disney's Beach Club Villas

Disney Vacation Club focuses the bulk of its marketing efforts on the two or three newest resorts. The limited supply of ownership in each property means that every resort is eventually branded "sold out." However that is a loose label since foreclosures and DVC's Right of First Refusal enables them to recapture points in small numbers.

The forces of supply and demand have driven up prices at some of the most sought-after destinations. Among those is Disney's Beach Club Villas which now retails for $245 per point for a contract that expires in January 2042. The most expensive destination remains Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel which is priced at a staggering $295 per point. Incidentally, the waiting list for Grand Californian points is reportedly so long that DVC is not even taking additional names.

Below is a list of the five resorts which experienced price increases this week:

  Old Rate   New Rate
Bay Lake Tower $235 $245
Disney's Beach Club Villas $235 $245
Disney's BoardWalk Villas $200 $210
Disney's Polynesian Villas $245 $250
Villas at Disney's Grand Californian $280 $295

DVC previously revealed that the base price for Disney's Riviera Resort and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas will rise from $195 to $201 per point on February 6, 2021.

Points can be purchased for these same resorts via the resale marketplace through brokers like our sponsors from The Timeshare Store, Inc.®. Visit their website to view current DVC resale listings. Points purchased resale carry most of the same rights and benefits as those acquired direct from DVC, albeit with possible exclusion from certain ancillary "Membership Magic" perks
