Disney Vacation Club has notified members that the current slate of purchase incentives will end on July 2, 2011. Meanwhile, rumors persist that all incentives for purchases at the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort may be eliminated at that time.
According to a mailer sent out by Disney Vacation Club, the current "Disney Experiences" promo will end on July 2. This particular offer gives buyers a choice among several complimentary vacation experiences with a qualifying DVC point purchase. Included are The Hawai'ii Experience--a free stay at the new Aulani resort in Hawai'i--The Seaworthy Experience--a voyage on the Disney Dream--and more.
Current cash incentives which reduce the purchase price by as much as $20 per point are also subject to change after July 2nd.
Additionally, some sources claim that incentives for purchases at the Bay Lake Tower will be eliminated entirely as of July 2nd.
Disney Vacation Club has publicly stated that the Bay Lake Tower is expected to "sell out" this summer. DVC has an established pattern of eliminating all promotions associated with locations which are considered sold out. However, in lieu of an announcement from DVC the prospect of future discounts on Bay Lake Tower points will remain a mystery until July 3rd.
