As Disney Vacation Club prepares to adjust its incentive packages, it appears that a price increase is also on the horizon for point purchases at the Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Multiple sources have informed DVCNews.com that Disney Vacation Club is preparing to raise the price of Bay Lake Tower points from $112 to $120 per point. DVC is reportedly eyeing an October 4, 2009 roll-out for the new pricing.
It appears that the new price point will immediately apply only to new buyers. In the past, price increases have often hit new members first with existing members granted a 4-6 week window to add additional points at the older price point. Our information suggest that DVC will again be giving current members additional time to buy at the $112 price beyond October 4th.
In related news, readers have also reported that recent purchase incentives were extended for a few more days and remain available today. Look for new pricing and incentives to be revealed around September 1st.
