Add the Skyliner gondola system to the list of new openings planned for late 2019.
Walt Disney World has announced that it's Skyliner transportation system will debut sometime in the fall of 2019. The system will link a number of resorts to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The forthcoming Disney Vacation Club property--Disney's Riviera Resort--will have a station on the Skyliner route, as will Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort. Guests at Disney's Beach Club Villas and Disney's BoardWalk Villas may wish to use the station at Epcot's International Gateway for transportation to Hollywood Studios or any of the connected resorts.
The Skyliner and Riviera Resort both have projected fall openings, leading up to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios.
Later this month, water taxi service to Epcot will be temporarily halted as workers begin to string the cables which make up the Skyliner system.
