Today Walt Disney World begins another test phase for its FASTPASS+ product and Disney Vacation Club members are among those who will be sampling the new ride reservation system.
Disney plans to continue tests on its FASTPASS+ system from September 18 through September 24, 2012. Guests with confirmed hotel reservations--including numerous DVC members--were offered the opportunity to utilize the system on a trial basis.

FASTPASS+ offers a new twist on Disney's popular ride reservation system. Instead of securing ride times upon arrival at the Walt Disney World parks, guests will be able to book some of their experiences from the comfort of their own homes.
The roster of FASTPASS experiences has even been expanded with the new "plus" system, allowing guests to reserve space in designated parade and fireworks viewing pavilions, character meet-and-greet opportunities and even ride times on attractions which were not previously part of the FASTPASS system.
FASTPASS+ is just one element of a resort-wide technology update occurring at Walt Disney World. Other enhancements include interactive attraction queues, free wireless Internet service at all theme parks and resorts and RFID door locks & payment system.
Many details regarding FASTPASS+ are still unknown including its official launch date. Most signs indicate the product will not be made available to the general public until sometime in 2013.
