New DDP Option Plus 2009 Pricing Info

WDW Dining News

In his Orlando Sentinel blog, Scott Powers has confirmed rumors that Disney will create a new variation of the Magic Your Way Disney Dining Plan (DDP) in 2009.  We also have some early information on 2009 pricing for all of the dining plans.

According to Powers, the new dining plan variant will offer guests two quick service meals and two snacks (typically items under $4) per night, plus a refillable beverage mug for the length of their resort stay.  The new plan will be available beginning on January 11, 2009.  Pricing has yet to be determined.

Additionally, British travel agency Virgin Holidays has posted pricing information for 2009 on this Quick Service Dining Plan, along with the more traditional and deluxe plans.  While the values are in British pounds, historically the Virgin listings have been useful in foreshadowing plan changes and pricing for US consumers as well.

In 2009, the traditional Disney Dining Plan cost remains unchanged for adults at 25 pounds while the child price increases from 9 to 10 pounds.

The Deluxe Dining Plan is set to increase from 41 to 43 pounds per day for an adult and decrease 18 pounds to 16 pounds per child.

Finally for the new Quick Service plan, the costs listed are 18 pounds per adult and 7 per child.   The Quick Service plan is priced at 70-75% of the more traditional Disney Dining Plan (which includes a Table Service meal.)  Although this is purely speculative, if similar percentages are applied to US Dollars, the Quick Service plan will be in the neighborhood of $28 per adult and $8 per child, per night.
