In conjunction with the 45th anniversary of Walt Disney World, Disney has announced a series of expanded perks for its annual pass program over the next year.

On October 1, 1971 Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom opened its gates for the first time. To help commemorate this noteworthy anniversary, Disney will offer discounts at 45 restaurants throughout its property and give annual pass buyers an extra month worth of admission privileges.
New annual passes purchased between October 2, 2016 and January 3, 2017 will receive 13 months of theme park admission rather than the usual 12 months. This perk applies to all variations of the annual pass including the Gold Pass which is exclusive to Disney Vacation Club members and Florida residents. The Gold pass offers unlimited admission to the four Florida parks with the exception of approximately 4 weeks which are blocked-out around Easter and Christmas. The Gold Pass also includes unlimited PhotoPass image downloads.
The Platinum, Platinum Plus, Silver and Weekday Select passes are also eligible for this 13-month offer. However, the additional month is only available on new Annual Pass purchases, not renewals.
Additionally, for the next year all Passholders will receive a 20% discount at 45 restaurants around Walt Disney World property. Numerous Disney Vacation Club resort restaurants are featured, including The Mara, Jiko and Sanaa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, BoardWalk Bakery, Grand Floridian Cafe, The Turf Club Bar & Grill at Saratoga Springs and more.
