January is usually a good month for direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points and 2017 has continued that trend, easily beating numbers from both the last calendar month and the same time period a year ago.
It has been nearly 10 years since Disney Vacation Club offered 15-year contract extensions to owners at Disney's Old Key West Resort. The general concensus was that the Old Key West offer was a failure, both in the manner it was handled and in the lukewarm reception from owners. Still owners continue to express interest in extending their contracts, particularly at popular resorts like Disney's Beach Club Villas and Disney's BoardWalk Villas.
