Guests of Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge were reportedly moved to different resorts after being without water for more than a day.
According to a post on the DISBoards and social media, Boulder Ridge Villas lost in-room water around mid-day Saturday, August 8, 2026. In-room sinks, showers and toilets were nonfunctional due to the outage. Guests were advised to use the public facilities near resort pools, while bottled water was distributed in the lobby.
The outage does not impact guests staying in Copper Creek Villas & Cabins.
By Sunday, Boulder Ridge guests were being relocated to other resorts including Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. A partial refund of points was reportedly offered. There was also some mention of cash compensation.
This is the second major infrastructure issue to hit Disney's Wilderness Lodge this summer. The main lodge building, including Copper Creek Villas, lost air conditioning for several days back in July.
