Disney Vacation Club members who already own points at Disney's Riviera Resort will receive some modest saving when adding 75 or more additional points.
For a limited time, add-ons of $75-99 Vacation Points will receive a discount of $4 each when buying direct from DVC. This offer comes just days after Disney Vacation Club declared the resort 95% sold out, urging owners to buy while they still can. Only DVC members with ownership at Rivera are eligible for this offer.
Broader incentives which are available to all current members feature a discount of $10 per point off add-ons of 100-149 points. Purchases of 150-199 are discounted by $21 each and 200+ receive a discount of $25 per point.
Disney's Riviera Resort began selling in the Spring of 2019. Sales were slowed by the 2020 pandemic and then comptition with no less than 5 other properties considered to be in active sales.
The resort will soon be regarded as "sold out" by DVC. The timeshare developer will continue to recoup points via Right of First Refusal, buybacks and foreclosures. However, prices on "sold out" locations are typically boosted and incentives are eliminated. These moves come as the fixed ownership period grows smaller. Riviera owners currently have about 43 years left to enjoy their points before it reverts back to Disney at the end of January 2070.
See our prior coverage for details on direct purchase incentives currently offered on all DVC properties.
