As Disney begins accepting cash reservations for Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, we get our first look at the guest rooms along with an anticipated opening date of December 17, 2024.
Two Bedroom Penthouse Villa
Disney has announced that Island Tower, the new 10-story Disney Vacation Club development at the Polynesian, is slated to open on December 17, 2024.
Beginning today, June 4, 2024, Disney Vacation Club owners can begin booking cash reservations for the tower by contacting DVC Member Services. Upon opening, only a portion of the rooms will be added to the DVC condominium association and available to book by members using points. The rest of the building will be sold as cash bookings while the timeshare points are marketed to new owners.
Two Bedroom Villa guest bedroom
Reservations expand to Annual Passholders on June 5 and the general public on June 6. As a part of today's launch, Disney has released a series of images from the new villas, along with an extensive walkthrough video.
Deluxe Studio Villa
Imagineer Madeline Day takes viewers through the new rooms, highlighting many of the unique features of these villas. The layout of many rooms mirrors the newer Villas at Disneyland Hotel, but a variety of design tweaks have been added. The Deluxe Studio pictured above includes a booth-like "banquette" and table. A dishwasher has been added to the kitchen, along with the familiar mini-fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.
Two-person Duo Studio villa
One Bedroom villas which sleep up to 5 guests feature two full bathrooms while Two Bedroom villas sleeping 9 have three bathrooms. All rooms feature the popular pull-down Murphy Beds, including the Duo Studios which sleep just 2 guests similar to the Tower Studios at Disney's Riviera Resort.
Decor in the room features many polynesian touches, drawing inspiration from the artwork of Disney Legend Mary Blair and the film 'Moana". Many elements were created from recycled materials.

Disney Vacation Club has not announced a date on which it will begin actively marketing points in Island Tower. The facility will be part of the existing Polynesian condo association, giving current owners 11-month booking rights to both the tower and the legacy Deluxe Studios and Bungalows.
