The porte cochere and monorail platform are not the only areas of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort current being renovated.
Kiki Tikis Splash Play Area at the Polynesian's Lava Pool is currently closed for renovations. Crews appear to be replacing much of the wooden structure that makes up the play area which is designed for kids 48" and under.
Temporary barriers were also visible near the Lava Pool itself, although the pool and slide remain open for guest use. The resort's Oasis Pool is also available.
Work on the kids water play area is expected to be complete by the end of March.
