Watercraft service between Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney Springs is unavailable for the next several weeks.
Disney has issued an operational update indicating that boat service from Old Key West will be unavailable from July 20 through early August 2026.
The boats operate most evenings from the dock located behind Old Key West's Hospitality House. They travel between the resort and a dock located at Disney Springs' Marketplace. Buses also run regularly between Old Key West and Disney Springs. During the closure, guests are advised to take advantage of the bus service.
The move comes just weeks after Walt Disney World began restricting Disney Springs transportation to registered guests at the Disney hotels. In order to access buses or boats departing from Disney Springs, guests must present a Magic Band or other resort ID confirming a current stay. Alternatively, individuals with a dining or recreation reservation at one of the resorts is also able to use Disney transportation.
The Old Key West boat closure is reportedly linked to maintenance on the shorelines along the route.
