The expansive L-shaped front desk has been replaced with smaller workstations, comfortable seating and a brighter color scheme.
After a three month refurbishment period, the main lobby at Disney's Old Key West Resort has reopened. Large front desks separating cast members from guests are an endangered species at Walt Disney World. Old Key West continues this trend with smaller workstations, making for easier interaction.
What was formerly a large open space to accommodate waiting guests is now filled with a variety of sofas and chairs.
The Disney Vacation Club sales podium still has a place in a corner of the lobby.
The bright turquoise and white color scheme paired with ligher wood foors continues in the neighboring Papa's Den where more sofas and chairs are available.
Even a few larger tables are available for children and larger groups.
