Last week, Disney revealed the popular character buffet will return to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort after a 4 year hiatus.
One of the few remaining facility closures from the COVID-19 pandemic will finally reopen in a few weeks. 1900 Park Fare, located at the Grand Floridian, will reopen for breakfast and dinner beginning April 10, 2024.
The restaurant returns as a buffet featuring Disney Characters roaming about. Full details on the menu are unknown, but Disney has confirmed that the signature strawberry soup will return. However there are changes to the character roster. Guests can expect to see Aladdin in his Prince Ali garb, Cinderella, Mirabel and Tiana in her new look for Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
The dining room will still feature its classical carousel theme and antique organ "Big Bertha." However, new touches include a dozen portraits created exclusively for the venue by Disney artists and a mural to greet guests at the restaurant's entrance.
Reservations open on March 5 for dates April 10 an beyond. Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance via the My Disney Experience website or app. Disney hotel guests, including Disney Vacation Club members staying on points can make dining reservations for their entire length of stay 60 days in advance of their arrival date.
1900 Park Fare is also available using the Disney Dining Plan at a cost of one Table Service meal credit.
