Owners of Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will have a 2-month head start to book the new Resort Studio rooms.
Disney Vacation Club has revealed its modified booking policy for the Grand Floridian's Resort Studios. Owners at the resort will be eligible to book the new rooms beginning on March 14, 2022. This applies to all owners, regardless of whether they own points in the original Phase 1 development or the new Phase 2 which went on sale today.
DVC owners with other Home resorts will have to wait until May 13, 2022 to book the Resort Studios.
This window appears designed to accommodate both current DVC owners who are eligible to add-on beginning March 3, as well as new members who cannot buy-into the Grand Floridian until March 31. Both groups will have a priority booking period before Resort Studio availability opens to all DVC members.
Unfortunately, taking advantage of the early booking window will require a phone call to DVC Member Services, which is certain to generate a high volume of phone traffic beginning on March 14. The new rooms will not be available for online booking until general availablity opens on May 13.
All reservations will be subject to the 11 and 7-month booking windows. When Resort Studio availability opens to owners on March 14, they will be eligible to book reservations with scheduled arrival through February 14, 2023. Non-owner reservations will begin on May 13, granting access to all dates through December 13, 2022.
Resort Studios are expected to open in late June 2022 with the exact date not yet revealed.
The complete policy statement is as follows:
Existing Members with a home resort at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Members that added-on at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa may begin booking the new Resort Studios on 3/14/2022 by calling Member Services. Members with other home resorts may begin booking Resort Studios on 5/13/2022 through DisneyVactionClub.com or by calling Member Services.
