Guests staying at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa again have the option of direct boat service from their resort to the Magic Kingdom.
Boat service has resumed for the two resorts located on Walt Disney World's Seven Seas Lagoon. Guests staying at both the Polynesian and Grand Floridian can depart from the resort's dock and arrive just outside the gates of the Magic Kingdom theme park.
Larger boats (see above) are being employed to facilitate social distancing. As is currently the case with bus service, Disney Cast Members direct parties to a specific seat on the boat to ensure that all travelers are properly spaced out.
This is one of several transportation adjustments to recently take place in the Magic Kingdom area. The long-awaited walking path connecting the Grand Floridian and Magic Kingdom is now open. The Polynesian's monorail station is currently closed due to renovations happening at the Great Ceremonial House. However, resort guests can walk to the nearby Transportation and Ticket Center to board either a monorail or ferry headed to the Magic Kingdom.
