Disney Vacation Club issued a press release and announcement video heralding the beginning of sales for the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Contained within that content are a few new bits of information, including new images of the model rooms and an estimated opening date for the facility.
Also available are pre-sale prices and 2013 annual dues values.
Current Disney Vacation Club members will be eligible to purchase points starting on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Some reports indicate that DVC salespeople are beginning to take orders now.
Initial pricing is $145 per point for any quantity of 25 or more points. There is a 50 point minimum in order to finance the purchase. This initial pricing is available only to current DVC members. Expect rates to increase when sales begin for the general public...if not sooner.
Sales to new members begins on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
Annual dues for 2013 are set at $5.41 per point. 2013 dues are typically pro-rated based upon either the opening date of the facility or the date an owners first allocation of points is received, whichever is later.
The estimated opening date for the Grand Floridian villas is October 23, 2013.
