Refurbishment work at Disney's BoardWalk Villas is taking longer than expected, and is now expected to run through most of 2020.
The water slide at BoardWalk's Luna Park pool closed back in September for what was expected to be a 6-week renovation project. We have since learned that the updates are taking longer than expected, running into December 2020. Disney expects the slide to reopen before the end of the year, but specific dates have not been revealed.
While the slide is being updated, the feature pool itself remains open to guests, along with the resort's two leisure pools.
According to reports, the clown face facade has been removed from the slide and will be replaced with a new design. No changes are planned to the slide itself.
