Fireworks Viewing Platform at BLT?

Bay Lake Tower

Allearsnet has posted some close-up photos of that curious-looking structure at the top of the new Contemporary building; rumored to be a future Disney Vacation Club resort called the Bay Lake Tower.

Allearsnet.com's Jack Spence suggests that this section of the building could prove to be a platform from which guests will be able to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks.  According to Spence:

This is strictly a RUMOR, but I have it on good authority that this will be a private, Magic Kingdom firework viewing area for DVC members staying at this resort. If true, this feature will make this “home away from home” all the more enticing.

Including such a feature in the resort design would be consistent with other recent Disney Vacation Club projects.   When Saratoga Springs Resort originally opened in 2004, Disney was still presenting a nightly fireworks show at Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island.  An area near the Congress Park quiet pool was outfitted with rocking chairs and designated as a fireworks viewing platform for resort guests.  And as detailed in our recent coverage, the DVC wing currently under development at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel will include a sixth floor platform from which guests can view the forthcoming nighttime show at Disney's California Adventure.
