No other details have been revealed at this time.
The outdoor viewing plaform reopened twice in 2021 around Independence Day and New Year's Eve, exclusively for guests at Bay Lake Tower. However, the indoor lounge has remained shuttered since March 2020.
In recent years, the lounge has been available on a nightly basis to all DVC members with current reservations at a Walt Disney World resort. The lounge provides limited seating for Magic Kingdom fireworks viewing, a full bar and a menu of snacks available for purchase. There is no cost to DVC owners and their guests wishing to visit the space.
Earlier this week, Walt Disney World eliminated the last of its on-property mask mandates, and reintroduced interactive character meet experiences. These moves effectively signaled the end of Disney's COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
Since reopening, Disney has dealt with staffing shortages which may have contributed to the lounge's extended closure. A number of Disney restaurants still do not have reopening dates including Victoria and Alberts and 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
