Following-up on a rumor from last week, AKV owners have begun receiving letters from DVC indicating that concierge rooms will be available earlier than originally expected. Originally the concierge rooms were to be part of the final phase of room conversions at Jambo House and would not be available to guests until sometime in May 2008. Now members are being told that they can begin booking these room classes for stays beginning December 1, 2007:
Zazu, the Pride Land's faithful hornbill reporter, has just returned from the savanna with some breaking news about Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.
Here's the scoop... Changes in the resort's construction schedule will make Concierge and Value Vacation Homes available beginning on December 1.
As a result, Disney Vacation Club is inviting Members who have purchased a Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas Ownership Interest to call Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 from June 13-26 if they would like to modify their existing AKV reservations or to book a new Concierge or Value Vacation Home reservation during this exclusive booking window. Accommodations are based on availability and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
All other Disney Vacation Club Members can reserve remaining Concierge and Value Vacation Home inventory beginning on June 27. (Members may book other accommodation types beginning on June 6.)

AKV owners can begin booking the Concierge and Value class rooms on June 13th, while owners at other resorts can begin booking on June 27th. The 11 / 7 month booking windows will apply to both dates.
