Both the front desk and Johari Treasures gift shop at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village have been moved to a temporary location during the construction work.
The entire lobby area, from the Porte Cochere to the savanna access stairway is currently blocked off. Front desk services and a temporary location of Johari Treasures are currently operating from The Palace Library. Very limited selections are offered in the gift shop. Things like refillable mugs, bottled beverages and snacks, and a few racks of clothing are available for purchase.
With the beverage towers currently unavailable, Kidani Village guests can visit Sanaa for soft drink refills. Self-serve refills are also available from the pool bar and The Mara at Jambo House.
The lobby renovation began in late August and is expected to continue into October. Other projects will separately impact the north and south lobby corridors. From September 28 - October 9, the North Side Corridor will be unavailable, blocking access to the North Side Lobby Elevators on the 2nd floor, as well as the outdoor deck and viewing area. And from October 26 to November 6, the South Side Lobby Corridor will be closed to guests on the 2nd floor. This includes the Community Hall, The Palace Library, arcade, laundry room, lobby restrooms, and the south side outdoor viewing platform.
