Several public areas of Kidani Village at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas are reportedly set to be refurbished over the next 5-6 months.
Website WDW News Today was among the first to report that several public spaces at Kidani Village will be undergoing refurbishment between now and October 2022. Among the areas featured in the project are the resort's bus stops, Survival of the Fittest fitness center and the barbeque pavilion. These amenities will all remain available to guests, however they will be subject to partial closures and reduced services.
In the late summer, the savanna overlook areas located off the main lobby will be refurbished. Construction will alternate between locations, leaving some viewing space accessible to guests.
Construction will be limited to daytime hours. The projects are expected to wrap-up by early October 2022.
Kidani Village's Samawati Springs pool recently reopened after a lengthy refurbishment.
Guest rooms at both Kidani Village and Jambo House should be due for an extensive refurbishment as early as 2023. Disney has yet to reveal any formal timelines regarding these projects. Stay tuned to the DVCNews Refurbishment Tracker for the latest updates.
