In 2007 Disney Vacation Club expanded the sleeping accommodations for its One and Two Bedroom villas by adding a twin-sized sleeper chair to the design of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas. Now that amenity has made its way to one of the older DVC properties.
Earlier this year the twin sleeper chairs were added to the living room of all One and Two Bedroom villas at Disney's Vero Beach Resort. One Bedroom villas now feature sleeping accommodations for five guests with one king-sized bed, a queen-sized sleeper sofa and the twin sleeper chair. Two Bedroom units sleep up to nine guests with two queen-sized beds in the additional bedroom.
In addition to the Vero Beach Resort, all One and Two Bedroom Villas at the Animal Kingom Villas (except Value class rooms), the Bay Lake Tower and the forthcoming Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel have sleeping accommodations for 5 / 9 guests. The Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa also include the sleeper chair and will accommodate nine guests.
At other resorts Disney Vacation Club allows up to five guests in a One Bedroom villa and nine in a Two Bedroom, but the bedding provided will only accommodate 4 / 8 guests. According to a Disney source, no decisions have yet been made regarding the addition of sleeper chairs or other enhancements to other vacation club properties.
