Notices posted to the website of Indian River County, Florida indicate that the beach adjacent to Disney's Vero Beach Resort will be undergoing a replenishment project beginning in early February.
The beach restoration project timeline indicates an approximate start date of February 9, 2010. During the restoration project, as many as 30 trucks per hour could be crossing the nearby Wabasso bridge, delivering new sand to the beach. Disney resort guests may experience disruptions not only from the beach closure but also due to the volume of truck traffic throughout the project.
The project will take approximately 4-6 weeks to complete.
