Due to unanticipated maintenance needs, portions of the Stormalong Bay pool at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will close for three weeks next month.
The closure is expected to impact the Flying Jib slide as well as well as the pool areas immediately surrounding the slide exit. Approximately 20% of the pool is expected to close as workers repair portions of the filtration system. The kiddie pool, lazy river, hot tubs and other areas of Stormalong Bay are expected to remain open.
The maintenance work is scheuled to run from April 9 - 30, 2012. That exact timeline is subject to change.
During the project all Beach Club and Yacht Club guests are permitted to use the pools at Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas. Daily shuttle service will be provided between the Yacht / Beach Clubs and the BoardWalk.
